I met Mike at Instinet Corporation in 1998 when I was hired as a Business Analyst within the Internal Communication group. He recruited me after about a year in that position to help him build the Organizational Development function and from that moment on - he inspired me, stretched me, challenged me and most of all believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. My heart breaks of his passing. He was my mentor and frankly like a father to me. He encouraged me to take risks and make mistakes as he fundamentally believed this is how we learn.There isn't a day that goes by that he is not in my thoughts as his teachings have continued to shape my leadership style today. When asked about a mentor who has shaped my life - it is he who is the first to come to mind. Mike.....just letting you know.....you leave behind a legacy. Your passion and love for this field is nothing less than inspiring and I am grateful and so very blessed to have had the honor to be your co-pilot for five shaping years.
