I first encountered Mike when he was one of the students on a course I was running on Wholistic approaches to CBT - he was always inquisitive challenging thoughtful and passionate about his own learning I later worked with him on various events in the field of assessment centre development where he had created a unique self insight based approach that put learning at the centre of the experience It was this continuous passion for his own and others learning which was at the centre of what made him a great coach and teacher of so many I enjoyed our journey together creating progress in coaching in so many countries and while we often disagreed we always did so in a way that resulted in new learning Our thoughts from Professional Development Foundation are with Mike and his family and the community of coaches that he did so much to create David Lane
